Chief Financial Officer

Tyler earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and joined Purpose in 2017, originally to oversee the firm’s corporate strategy. In that role he was responsible for several key initiatives, including financing & investor relations, securitization, the acquisition of in mutual fund assets from LOGIQ Asset Management and the purchase of Thinking Capital – Canada’s largest non-bank small business lender.

Tyler was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2024, where he focuses on Purpose’s capital structure and financing, financial reporting, risk management, credit & underwriting, and corporate development. This also includes the broader development and execution of firm-wide strategy and supporting the rest of the management team to achieve our long-term objectives.

Before Purpose, Tyler worked in Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets.
